1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:

• Profile information you provide: name, gender, date of birth, height and physical details, marital status, religion, caste/community, mother tongue, education, profession and income, family details, partner preferences, “about” text, current and native location, and profile photographs.
• Contact details: email address and mobile/telephone number.
• Verification documents that you voluntarily and explicitly choose to upload for verification — such as a community certificate, salary slip, graduation certificate, or appointment order. These are treated as sensitive and stored in encrypted form.
• Account credentials: a password/authentication managed through our authentication provider. We do not store your password in plain text.
• Payment-related information: when you unlock a contact or purchase a paid feature, payment is processed by a third-party payment gateway; we receive limited transaction details but do not store your full card details.
• Technical and usage data collected automatically: IP address, device and browser information, log data, approximate location, and interactions with the Platform, including via cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

• to create, display, and manage your matrimonial profile and to enable searching and matching with other Members according to partner preferences;
• to manually review and approve profiles, photographs, and documents for quality and safety before they become visible;
• to operate paid features such as contact unlock and to process payments and prevent fraud;
• to authenticate your account and secure access;
• to communicate service-related and, where you have consented, promotional messages via email, SMS, calls, or messaging apps;
• to analyse usage, improve the Platform, and conduct research; and
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. How your information is shared

• With other Members: your approved profile and photographs are shown to other Members in accordance with the visibility settings you choose. Verification documents remain hidden and encrypted until you approve a specific request. Your mobile number is disclosed to another Member only after they lawfully unlock your contact through a paid feature.
• With service providers: authentication, hosting/storage, and payment-gateway partners who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
• For legal and safety reasons: with regulators, courts, or law-enforcement agencies where required or permitted by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Members or the public, including where a transaction appears suspicious.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the business or its assets.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of third-party websites that may be linked from the Platform.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You may control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features. Some cookies may be placed by third parties whose use we do not control.

5. Your rights and choices

You may, subject to applicable law:

• access and update your profile information at any time from within your account;
• control the visibility of your photos and documents, and approve or deny requests to view them;
• block or report other Members;
• withdraw consent for promotional communications and adjust your communication preferences; and
• delete your profile, after which we will be discharged of further service obligations. We may retain limited information as described below.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your profile is active and for as long as reasonably necessary thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and establish or defend legal claims. When no longer required, information is deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards — including access controls, authentication, and encryption of sensitive documents — to protect your information. Verification documents are encrypted at rest, and payment card details are handled by PCI-compliant payment gateways rather than stored by us. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security or protection against tampering before data reaches our servers. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and accessing the Platform from secure devices and networks.

8. Children

The Platform is intended only for adults eligible to marry under Indian law (women aged 18+ and men aged 21+). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
